About this product

A break tank and booster set package combines incoming mains isolation with downstream pressure boosting in a single factory-built assembly. The break tank provides a WRAS Approved Type AB Category 5 air gap, isolating the building's water from the public mains and protecting it against backflow contamination — a requirement for healthcare, food production and most commercial buildings under the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations.

We package GRP sectional tanks for large duties (1,000–10,000 L) or one-piece polyethylene tanks for smaller plant rooms (250–1,000 L) onto a common galvanised baseframe alongside our variable-speed booster set. The float-operated inlet valve, overflow, warning pipe, vermin-proof lid, level switches and tank insulation are all pre-fitted and tested before despatch.

Delivered as a single lift, the package dramatically reduces site installation time — only the incoming mains, outgoing distribution, drain and a single power feed are required. Each assembly is commissioned with a full witness-test report, WRAS compliance documentation and BMS interface point list.
