What We Deliver

Robot Cell Design & Integration

ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa Motoman, Stäubli and Universal Robots — pick-and-place, palletising, machine-tending, welding and cobot cells.

Safety Validation

Cell safety to BS EN ISO 10218 and ISO/TS 15066 with Siemens F-CPU, Allen-Bradley GuardLogix or Pilz PNOZmulti safety PLC, light curtains and area scanners.

Vision & Inspection

2D / 3D vision with Cognex, Keyence, SICK and Zivid for guidance, gauging, barcode/OCR and reject inspection.

Robot ↔ PLC Integration

Robot controllers tied into Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs over Profinet, EtherNet/IP and OPC UA.

End-of-Arm Tooling

Bespoke grippers, vacuum tooling, servo screwdrivers and tool-changers — designed, built and validated against your cycle-time target.

Retrofit & Brownfield

Retrofit robotic cells into existing production lines with minimal downtime — surveyed, modelled, and commissioned at the weekend where required.

Platforms & Brands We Support

Our engineers are vendor-trained across the platforms below — so a single contract covers your entire estate, with no lock-in.

Robotic Automation Built for Manufacturers

Robotic automation in production environments lives or dies on three things: a credible cycle-time model, a safety design that survives a HSE inspection, and an integration layer that talks cleanly to the existing PLC, SCADA and MES estate. We deliver all three on a single vendor-independent contract — no robot OEM commission, no captive integrator margin and no proprietary lock-in once the cell is live.

Our robot cells run across food and beverage, pharmaceutical packaging, automotive sub-assembly, electronics manufacturing, FMCG palletising, warehouse picking and material handling. Whether the requirement is a single cobot bolted onto an existing line or a full multi-robot cell with vision-guided sortation and integrated palletising, the same engineering process applies.

Safety, Standards and PUWER Compliance

Every cell is designed and validated to BS EN ISO 10218-1/-2 (industrial robots) and BS EN ISO/TS 15066 (collaborative robots), with a documented PUWER risk assessment and a signed safety validation report at handover. Safety functions are implemented in safety-rated PLCs — Siemens Safety Advanced (F-CPU), Allen-Bradley GuardLogix or Pilz PNOZmulti — with light curtains, laser area scanners, interlocked guarding and emergency stop circuits all wired through SIL 2 / PL d-rated I/O as a minimum.

We deliver the safety case as a complete document pack — risk assessment, safety functional requirement specification, safety validation report and safe operating procedures — so your in-house EHS team has everything they need for sign-off and ongoing compliance audits.

Integration With Your Existing Controls Estate

A robotic cell is only as useful as its integration. We interface every robot back to the line PLC over Profinet, EtherNet/IP or OPC UA, and tie production data — cycle times, OEE, downtime reasons, reject rates — into your existing SCADA (Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens WinCC, Ignition, AVEVA / Wonderware) or MES platform.

Where the cell needs to feed energy and utilities data back to the BMS, our controls team handles that integration on the same engagement — meter pulses, compressed air consumption, vacuum demand and HVAC heat rejection all reported to the building head-end without a second contractor on site.

Delivery, FAT, SAT and Aftercare

Cells are built and dry-commissioned off-site, then witnessed at Factory Acceptance Test against the original Functional Design Spec before they leave the workshop. Site mobilisation is planned around your production calendar — weekend or shutdown installs are standard, and we share a minute-by-minute installation programme with the client production team before the truck rolls.

After Site Acceptance Test, every cell is handed over with full mechanical and electrical drawings, the validated robot programs (with version-controlled backups), the safety case, an O&M pack and operator and maintenance training. PPM contracts after handover include 4-hour critical SLA, remote diagnostics over a secure VPN and a guaranteed annual cell health check.

FAQs about Robotic Automation

Which robot brands do you integrate?+

ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Universal Robots, Yaskawa Motoman and Stäubli — pick-and-place, palletising, machine-tending, welding and cobot cells, tied into Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs.

Do you handle PUWER and BS EN ISO 10218 compliance?+

Yes — every cell is designed and validated to BS EN ISO 10218 / ISO/TS 15066, with a documented risk assessment, safety PLC, light curtains, area scanners and signed safety validation report.

Can you retrofit a robot to an existing production line?+

Yes — we routinely retrofit cells into existing lines. We survey the line, model the cycle time, design the mechanical interface and end-of-arm tooling, integrate to the existing PLC/SCADA, and deliver witnessed FAT/SAT with operator training.

What vision and HMI options are available?+

2D and 3D vision (Cognex, Keyence, SICK, Zivid) for guidance, gauging and inspection, plus HMI/SCADA dashboards on Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens WinCC or Ignition for OEE, downtime and reject reporting.

What does a robotic cell project typically cost?+

A single cobot pick-and-place cell starts around £45–£75k turnkey; multi-robot palletising or sortation cells with vision and integrated conveyor are typically £150–£400k. We always issue a fixed written proposal after a free site survey.
